Sunday, During a powerful 2 pm service the Special Service Team challenged us the "Answer the Call". Here is what they had to say: Randy Lynch
We are launching into our first ever Capital Stewardship Initiative...and our slogan sums it all up; "Answer the Call"
Our "Answer the Call" Stewardship Initiative can be boiled down to one word... SOULS!
Money is not altogether the focus of this campaign. Prayer is the backbone of this campaign, and fulfilling our vision of reaching the lost is our basic motivation!
However, since the book of Acts there has always been a cost to the winning of souls!
This Capital Stewardship Campaign is an initiative to set the stage for us to plant a second daughter work, and take the next step toward a new worship facility.
The time has come for Greater Faith to Answer the Call!"
We are asking forevery memberof this church to be prayerfully considering how you will respond when you are summoned to sacrifice and to partner with our Answer the Call Capital Stewardship Initiative
There are six things that sets this church apart, and these are six areas that we envision seeing this church excel in. (The Special Service Team may wish to have the Team leaders reveal the point that relates to their team, and introduce their perspective team members) Tim Jones We are people who believe in prayer!
Over the next 12 weeks, we will be calling the church to a deeper commitment to prayer. A team of prayer warriors will be interceding for the lost, for the church, and for this campaign. (Consider having the Prayer Team stand, and possibly calling their names.) When the church begins to pray, things begin to happen! When the church begins to pray, God begins to move!
James 5:16 ...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Steve Schilt We are people with vision!
Although we cannot see it with our eyes, we have faith to believe it in our hearts. Through eyes of faith we believe that we will receive the blessings of God, which may seem impossible through eyes of the flesh.
Luke 18:27 And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Thank God for people with passion and vision that have charted the course to bring us to where we are.
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: ... We have a team with insight, and that is committed to Vision casting! Lisa Tetrick We are people who are creative in our worship!
We understand the power of worship. We know that worship creates an atmosphere for God to move. Healings and miracles happen in the atmosphere of worship. The Holy Ghost falls in the atmosphere of worship. The world doesn't want a cold dead dry religion. Visitors don't come to sit through a dissertation...they want to experience the Holy Ghost and fire. Worship will be a key to this end time revival.
John 4:23-24 23 ... for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 ... and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
It's not just emotionalism...it is worship in spirit and truth. We are a worshipping people! And we have a creative team of individuals who are committed to planning and preparing for first class presentations in our worship services to help us propel the vision.
Josh Luff
We are conscientious people!
We give attention to detail. We believe that we are to be good stewards of the resources that God has blessed us with. This includes our talents. We have a group of very conscientious individuals that are committed to creating the best graphics and the highest quality materials available.
April Smith
We are diligent people!
We understand the value of hard work. In Proverbs the Bible gives insight into the wisdom of the diligent, and the demise of slothful. Greater Faith exists because the people have a mind to work. Some things never change! The workforce behind this campaign is a group of individuals who strive to exemplify the wisdom of the word through their diligent and faithful labor to the kingdom.
Dwayne Jones
We are a giving people!
We understand the value of giving.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Each week, dozens of volunteers will be giving of their time, talents, and treasures to help advance others. That is what this campaign is about; growth and ministry advancement. Our congregation is made up of givers, and givers make great leaders. Over the next few weeks, we are believing that God is going to give specific direction to this congregation and together we will Answer the Call
***
During our "Answer the Call" Campaign, we will answer the questions of how our vision will become a reality:
We will maximize our resources and move forward with faith.
We will move forward as God directs us.
We will remain prayerful about God's plan for this church.
We have a strong sense of vision and destiny for this church.
We understand the importance of timing. Eboniece Bright
There are three basic assumptions about our plans for this campaign:
1. God intends for his church to grow.
2. It will take a financial miracle for us to move forward with our vision.
3. God intends to use his people and his church as a conduit for a miracle!
This Capital Stewardship Campaign will help us make ourselves ready for a miracle.
What is this Stewardship Campaign about?
A Stewardship Campaign teaches biblical principles for giving of our time talent and treasure!
A Stewardship Campaign places a major emphasis upon prayer and seeking the will of God! Prayer is the backbone of this campaign. The flyers will not do it, messages will not perform it, the songs will not cause it to happen; it is through prayer that God will speak to your heart.
A Stewardship Campaign communicates the vision and plan to the entire church! You will be receiving exciting information regarding the plans for our facilities.
A Stewardship Campaign raises the level of faith of a congregation!
A Stewardship Campaign unifies the talents, time, and finances of the body of Christ for the purpose of reaching the lost. Over the next few weeks, we will be talking about how you can partner with the vision and be part of a miracle.

Some may ask, "Can't we just stay like we are, and where we are?" And the answer is "Yes." However, God never intended for His Church to only survive, but we believe it is His will for this church to flourish, and to move forward! In order for this to happen, you and I must be willing to go beyond where we are, and step into the realm of faith that we have never been before. We must be willing to "Answer the Call". |
