Finally, the season has arrived for, arguably, the most effective and exciting compassion event of the Metropolitan area of Louisville, Kentucky! Greater Faith's second annual SOUL WINNER'S BOOT CAMP 2009 is only a short time away. It's time for YOU to be a part of the Soul Search and Rescue.
If you missed last year's SWBC then it would be difficult to conceive the impact that it had upon an area that is home to approximately 1.2 million people. We have great news for you; you can be a part of this year's SWBC which promises to eclipse the results produced during SWBC 2008.
What is SOUL WINNER'S BOOT CAMP? That is a question that many people throughout the local community have asked and, to be honest, the question is so broad it is actually very difficult to articulate with a single sentence. Notwithstanding, we will try to describe it the best that we are possibly able.
What SWBC is, depends upon who you are and what you need. If you are a Christian and you have been listening to any of the hundreds of prominent Christian leaders around the world in the last few years, then you know that there seems to be a rising consensus that the second coming of Jesus Christ is believed to be not too far in the future. We are to never forget the words that Jesus spoke, "...The night cometh, when no man can work." (KLV John 9:4) SWBC shifts the great commission into overdrive and puts into action the principle that Paul spoke of in Romans 2:4, 'The Goodness of God leads men to repentance.'
It all begins Thursday evening, July 30, at 7:30pm when believers from all over America launch into an exospheric level of worship and begin to couple their faith in one spirit in preparation for a city-wide outpouring of God's blessings. Last year, Pastor J. Todd Nichols and Pastor Matt Maddix preached as the spirit of God began to minister and 18 people were baptized that night, while hundreds were empowered with a fresh anointing and passion for soul-winning. 
Friday morning will begin with soul-winning trailing techniques and methods that have been tried and proven to work anywhere in the country. Friday afternoon, hundreds of soul-winners will pour into the streets of the Louisville metroplex for hands-on soul training. This is where it gets exciting!
Friday night, Greater Faith Church and Boot Camp America will join forces to host two amazing events that will take soul-winning to another level. We will baptize multitudes of people in the streets as the power of God begins to transform the lives of people.
Saturday morning, we go at it again with even more intensity and a slightly altered schedule. Saturday evening we go back to the streets equipped with tools and a new level of confidence. You've never seen faith in action like this!
Everything culminates on Sunday with two powerful crusade services. The first will be held at our satellite congregation, GFC Louisville Central, which meets every Sunday at 2:00pm, at Coleridge Taylor Elementary School (located at 11th & Muhammed Ali Blvd.). The second crusade service will be held at our mother congregation in New Albany, Indiana, 2814 Mt. Tabor Road, at 6:30pm. With last year as the prototype, we expect to minister domestically and spiritually to multiplied thousands of people.
Who benefits? SWBC benefits two demographics: First are those people who have a zeal to do something great for God and would like to sharpen their soul-winning skills and join with hundreds of other people who have the same goal. Second, the entire community of the Louisville metro benefits greatly.
How does Louisville and all of Kentuckiana benefit?
1. Last year, over $40,000.00 was raised through contributions of the
local Greater Faith Church in order to bless people in need during the 4 days of SWBC. This year
will exceed last year's budget.
2. Children are blessed with bicycles and other enjoyable items like mp3 players and digital
cameras. Adults are blessed with boxes of food, diapers for their children, baby formula, and
much more.
3. Adults, teens, and children alike are given an opportunity to make a decision for God out in the
public streets as it was when Jesus walked the dusty streets of Galilee and Capernaum. We
realize that people can't always find the church so we are fulfilling the words of Jesus in Mark
16:15 which instructs us to, "Go into all the WORLD and preach the gospel to EVERY creature."
Last year, 319 people were baptized and 253 were filled with the Holy Ghost during the 4 days
of SWBC events!
It is a win win for the whole city and America at large. This year we will give away 2 automobiles, 110v A/C window units, rent payment packages (up to $500.00), hundreds of boxes of groceries, bicycles, mp3 players, skateboard and bike equipment, utility payment packages (up to $100.00), and much more. One automobile will be given away at the 2:00pm service at Coleridge Taylor Elementary School and the other will be given away at the mother congregation, 2814 Mt. Tabor Rd., at the 6:30pm crusade service. There is simply no way for you to attend any portion of SWBC 2009 and not be blessed.
