The Place For Miracles

Loaves & Fishes

In the words of Jesus, “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these…you have done it unto me.”  With this principle in place, we are striving to bless God by blessing others.  /files/GFC Images/Diversity.jpgWe are compassionate toward those who have fallen prey to a temporary domestic shortfall.  Our desire is to be the hands of strength to those people who may find themselves in need.

As recipients of God’s favor we are anxious to share the plentitude, thus, the reason for this ministry.  God gave his people, Israel, an inheritance.  He uprooted them from Egypt, walked /files/GFC Images/Empty Shelves.jpgbefore them as they traversed the wilderness, and safely brought them into their destiny “Beyond Jordon".  Our prayer is that God will help us to lead someone in need on the same journey, in order that they may discover the rich bounty of God’s goodness and grace.

With our “Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry” fully stocked and a reserve of other items, we are constantly expanding.  “Beyond Jordon Ministries” is on a course to be under continual development to include; a clothes closet, a resource library, child counseling services, G.E.D assistance, employment consultation, college entrance & financial aid information, emergency / crisis intervention services, and much more.

“Beyond Jordon Ministries” also provides up-to-date information about local employment opportunities.  We have a staff of individuals whose task is to report employment availabilities and we pass this information right along to you.

The Refuge

Hearing the testimonies of the multitude of people that have been blessed by this program is priceless.  We realize that people experience seasons of hard times in their lives, some of them almost to the brink of destruction.  The Lord Jesus Christ was our example in ministry and we see time and again that he was ever-compassionate toward the derelict.

In the Old Testament, the Lord made provision for the outcasts of society in the numerous cities of “Refuge".  The Psalmist wrote, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  (Ps 46:1)  Never before have so many been left unprotected and /files/GFC Images/Broken Window Old Wood.jpguncovered.  They have become susceptible and vulnerable to the enemy of their souls.  That’s why we want to provide a safe place; a covert from the storm.

Exposure to the beggarly elements of sin and degradation will leave people destitute, stripped of all dignity and faith.  Our goal is to help them to restart their journey and pursuit of joy and happiness.  One orator said, “Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.”

In collaboration with our “Beyond Jordon Ministries” we have helped many to find employment opportunities.  Many of these blessed individuals have been delivered of substance addictions and are rapidly finding their way back to self-sufficiency.  The success of the “Refuge” is validated by the lives it has helped to change.

We are currently working in cooperation with the Haven House of Jeffersonville, Indiana, providing transportation to our services for their current residents.  We are expanding to cover the local jails and youth detention centers as well.  We feel that everyone needs a refuge, and the church is that place where everyone can find safety and security.  So we encourage all to come in from the storm and find a "Refuge" at Greater Faith.

 Haven House

Insomuch as we have been blessed w/abundance, we feel it our privilege and responsibility to help those less fortunate.  “Haven House” provides us this opportunity.  “Haven House” provides a maximum of 75 people with food and shelter and is located/files/GFC Images/Green Leaf on Brown Leaves.jpg in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  We are endeavoring to reach out to these people in their time of need.

We provide transportation to and from each church service, as well as a hot meal for them at Greater Faith on Sundays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.  We also have a team of ministers and teachers who instruct the residents of “Haven House” every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  We are excited about the immediate success of this ministry, with over 100 of these people having been baptized and/or filled with the Spirit of God, and are anticipating what God will do next.  To God be the glory!

With a 10-week course that includes Bible-based curriculum and positive Christian fellowship, our staff of trained and dedicated teachers are ready to help you secure your "Spirit of Freedom".
